About the role

The Global Director of Manufacturing Operational Excellence is a strategic leader responsible for driving operational improvements, enhancing productivity, and reducing costs across all global manufacturing facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in the pursuit of manufacturing excellence.

Your responsibilities

  • Optimize global manufacturing operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to measure and drive manufacturing performance globally.
  • Develop and implement a global operational excellence strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and manufacturing goals.
  • Lead and champion continuous improvement initiatives across all manufacturing sites, utilizing lean, Six Sigma, and other OpEx methodologies.
  • Collaborate with plant managers and local OpEx teams to identify process inefficiencies and develop solutions to optimize production flow and quality.
  • Establish key performance indicators to measure and track the effectiveness of operational improvements.
  • Drive standardization of best practices across all manufacturing locations to ensure consistency and sustainability of improvements.
  • Oversee the management of OpEx projects, ensuring timely execution and delivery of expected benefits.
  • Liaise with R&D, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure alignment of OpEx activities with overall company strategies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on OpEx progress and achievements to senior leadership and stakeholders.

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or advanced certification in Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a strong background in operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record of leading successful OpEx transformations in a global manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership and change management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to various manufacturing sites as needed.
