About the role

As a Junior Buyer within the Global Packaging Procurement team, you will support the sourcing, category management and supplier management activities for Pallets EU and Adhesives EU/NAC, overseeing a combined spend of £18M. You will work in a dynamic, international environment, partnering with procurement peers, factories, suppliers and cross‑functional teams across Europe, the US, and other regions. 

This role is a strong development opportunity for early‑career talent looking to build procurement expertise. You will contribute to strategic initiatives, support category leadership, participate in supplier negotiations, and help shape procurement decisions that impact product launches, packaging improvements and supply resiliency. 

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the optimal strategy that delivers business objectives.
  • Deliver results in key performance areas: cost management, financial forecast, NWC, service and quality, process improvements and innovation.  
  • Have full financial accountability for the category: Plan, Forecast, PPV, NWC, prices compliance.
  • Support innovation implementations in the category while securing a resilient supply chain.
  • Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships.
  • Develop Commodity Risk Management strategy aligned with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement sustainability strategy in collaboration with Sustainability group. 

The experience we're looking for

  • 6–12 months of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related areas (internship experience accepted).
  • A degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work confidently with data.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., Ariba, Anaplan or equivalent).
  • Fluent written and spoken English – C1 level
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence to support category discussions with senior stakeholders  
  • Ability to work in a multicultural, international environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe when required.
