About the role
As a Procurement Climate Manager, you will accelerate the company’s Scope 3 decarbonisation efforts across the global raw materials and packaging supply base. You will work directly with suppliers, Procurement teams and cross‑functional partners to embed climate considerations into purchasing processes and secure measurable emissions reductions.
This is a hands‑on, autonomous role requiring strong supplier engagement skills, negotiation capability and the ability to operate confidently in a complex global environment.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and implement Scope 3 decarbonisation strategies for key raw material categories.
- Identify emissions hotspots and turn climate targets into practical procurement actions.
- Engage suppliers to measure emissions, define reduction plans and adopt low‑carbon solutions.
- Manage carbon‑related supplier data and ensure accurate reporting.
- Integrate Scope 3 considerations into category strategies, sourcing decisions and negotiations.
- Collaborate with Sustainability, R&D and Quality to identify low‑carbon alternatives.
- Track supplier progress and support internal reporting and capability building.
- Influence stakeholders globally and drive initiatives independently in a complex environment.
- Advise on data tools and dashboards (no technical development required).
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sustainability, Business or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or climate‑related roles.
- Hands‑on experience working with suppliers and understanding operational challenges in supply chains.
- Experience working in FMCG or other complex industries (e.g., pharmaceutical, automotive).
- Exposure to global or multi‑regional environments is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with a clear data‑driven mindset.
