About the role
In this role you will lead the International management of Aldi/Kaufland customers, driving Net Revenue, Gross Margin, and Trade Investment outperformance
Your responsibilities
Strategic customer management:
• Continuous development and expansion of knowledge about the customer's requirements together with the local organizations
• Continuous observation of market developments and Communication of all relevant information to the relevant departments and supervisors
Operational customer management:
• International negotiations for all customer countries. Prices, conditions, consideration and joint business plans
• Responsibility for the budget in terms of planning and monitoring compliance with annual meeting, listing, etc. budgets
• Regular personal support of major customers in the discount channel at an international level
• Monitoring and implementation of sales and contribution margin targets at brand and country level
• Regular business reviews with the countries including SD, SKAM and KAM
• Continuous analysis and improvement of sales and earnings potential
• Analysis and optimization of the distribution, listing, placement and price situation including best practice sharing in all countries
• Initiation, follow-up, evaluation and improvement of action measures nationally and internationally
• Implementation of business strategies in the area of key account management
• Analysis and evaluation of the relevant customer KPIs worldwide
• Close cooperation and coordination with the local discount KAMs in our various national companies
The experience we're looking for
• At least a bachelor's degree in business administration, preferably with a focus on sales, trade or marketing, or comparable qualification
• At least 10+ years of professional experience, either in key account management, category management, trade marketing, field sales or marketing required
• Knowledge of the German food retail trade and its decision-makers
• Knowledge of international trade
• Results oriented, entrepreneurial, and self-motivating.
• Action-orientated, with a focused and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Experience making LT level presentations & influencing through recommendations.
• Displays Essential Home core values of Achievement, Teamwork, Entrepreneurship and Commitment and collaboration across multi-country teams.
• Proficient in dealing with Nielsen and GFK data and ability to analyze this data professionally
• Highly numerate and analytical skills, including strong computer literacy skills (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Sales systems software experience).
• Good interpersonal and time management skills. Must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Confident interaction at all levels within the Essential Home organizations. English fluency.
• German fluency & other languages are a strong advantage
• Willingness to travel internationally
