About the role

The R&D Assistant – VMS is to support team in development of new supplement products and processes to support Reckitt dietary supplement business objectives.
Within given project timelines, assist team to executes formulation work from bench top to pilot-scale to define manufacturing-scale processes.
Support to translating product specifications into holistic, multi-sensorial and effective products that can be manufactured at target costs.
Product lines are focused on nutritional tablets, powders, capsules, liquids, gummies etc.

Your responsibilities

Assist in formulation development and sample preparation for new VMS formulations and improving existing SKUs per requirements.
Design and execute experimental work to test hypotheses at bench top, pilot plant and plant level and obtain valid results under supervision.
Author technical protocols, reports and documents per requirements.
Assist in statistical analysis and interpretation of study data.
Understand ingredient interactions and their implication on product stability.
Understand the benefit and functionality of raw ingredients as they pertain to finished products.
Review ingredient, process and finished product specifications and nutrition/supplemental facts panels and labels.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Project Manager, Marketing, Medical, Quality, Regulatory, Packaging, Supply Chain) & External manufacturing organizations (EMOs) and deliver works per alignment to ensure successful project execution.

The experience we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, pharmacy, food science, or related fields, with 2+ years of product development working experience in R&D, preferably with MNC experience, especially in consumer health, food, or pharmaceutical industry, with formulation knowledge of tablets & softgel is a plus.
Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse and multifunctional teams.
Results oriented and self-motivated, with capable of delivering independently on objectives, also willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of the product development process from concept ideation to launch.
With formulation knowledge and understanding of chemical interactions.
With knowledge and experience of China regulations especially in health food (blue hat license) and general food as well as China GB standards, will be a plus.

Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is often required.
