About the role
You will play an important role at Reckitt because working within the R&D team, you will support the development and optimization of polymer materials and dipping processes that enable innovative sexual wellness products. The vision of this role is to accelerate product innovation through high-quality laboratory execution, reliable experimental data, and a safe, efficient working environment.
As an R&D Assistant, you will support polymer synthesis, dipping process development, laboratory testing, and EHS/5S activities, playing a critical role in advancing product innovation through safe, efficient, and high-quality laboratory operations.
Your responsibilities
Success in this role requires strong laboratory discipline, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting scientists in achieving development milestones efficiently and safely.
You will be responsible for
· Deliver high-quality laboratory work under the guidance of the laboratory manager.
· Carry out polymer synthesis experiments according to established formulations and experimental protocols.
· Execute laboratory-scale condom dipping trials in accordance with approved procedures and protocols.
· Conduct physical and performance testing of samples, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and documentation.
· Perform pre-treatment of raw materials and post-treatment of synthesized latex systems as required.
· Manage laboratory waste disposal in compliance with HSE standards and company regulations.
· Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and work areas to ensure operational readiness and compliance with 5S standards.
· Contribute to laboratory HSE initiatives and promote a safe working environment through adherence to safety procedures and best practices.
· Support continuous improvement activities to enhance laboratory efficiency, quality, and compliance.
The experience we're looking for
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field.
· Candidates with academic or professional experience in a chemistry laboratory are preferred; experience in a synthetic chemistry laboratory is highly preferred.
· Strong hands-on laboratory skills, good communication skills, attention to detail, patience, and a willingness to work in a laboratory environment.
· Team-oriented, diligent, reliable, honest, and aligned with the company's values and culture.
· Law-abiding, with no criminal record or other adverse legal history.
