About the role

R&D PDM Assistant is 1st level of technical project leader role to lead product development / maintenance and compliance activities on projects in one or more platforms of the Durex portfolio. The role is ensuring the delivery for independent project activities and managing cross function team (supply, quality, regulatory) as well as R&D internal stakeholders.

Involves responsible for managing diverse development activities in the medium to long term to protect base business, implementation of product improvement and defence of net revenue through supply initiatives and compliance projects. The role needs to manage all given tasks independently and ensuring all key milestones as per committed timeline through wider cross functional supports.

The role needs to ensure the quality compliance against all given internal and external quality requirements along with project delivery and needs to highlight any issues / risks to relevant level of stakeholders and functions.

The role also requires strong technical ownership and leadership to manage medium to high complex technical challenges from given net revenue protects, gross margin improvement or compliance projects. Work scope is not limited to manage projects within Reckitt’s inhouse manufacturing site and involves 3rd party manufacturing sites for materials and products.

Your responsibilities

General:

  • Ensure all technical aspects of the product development, maintenance and roll out are carried out as per the agreed timings, with any issues or risks clearly highlighted to line manager in a timely manner.
  • Manage own projects as well as deliver projects through direct reporting team. Need to give guidance where it requires.
  • Ensure all relevant product specifications and internal documentation is in place and fully approved prior to full production start-up.
  • To be quality mined to manage projects and lead trials on lab scale, pilot scale and commercial scale trials. Should try to optimize process without compromising a quality of products and keep consistency across different projects. 
  • Responsible for the compilation, review, approval and circulation of technical reports throughout the lifecycle of products and projects.
  • All assigned development activity must conform to legislative, health & safety and environmental requirements.
  • Resourcefulness to the team and other function and open mind to listen others.
  • Keep individual records and collaborate with internal/external partners to meet the goal of individual and team.

Quality:

  • Be aware, accountable and follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) rules & regulations.
  • Enforce quality mind & awareness for working in area by following documented procedures & follow good documentation practice.
  • Be compliance to requirements of ISO13485 and other relevant regulatory requirements as required based on role & function responsibility.
  • Always think “Quality is my responsibility”.

Safety, Health & Environment:

  • Be aware, accountable for safety, health and environment in workplace all time to ensure free-accident and good environment area of working. 
  • Follow which support the safety, health and environment regulations, company policies by working safely, reporting unsafe condition / unsafe action / near miss accident to supervisor as well as suggest for any improvement.
  • Be compliance to requirements of ISO14001, ISO45001, other relevant EHS regulatory and company EHS requirements as required based on role & function responsibility.
  • Always think "Safety, Health and Environmental is my responsibility". 

The experience we're looking for

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree on Chemical Engineer / Science, Polymer Engineer / Science, Pharmacy or any relevant Technical background in preferred.
  • Ability to work or experience in laboratory, pilot or commercial production area
  • A minimum of 1-2 years working experience in product / process technology of personal or pharmaceutical or medical devices.
  • Good communication of written and spoken in English
  •  Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with solid planning and organisational capabilities.
