About the role

Working within the Shanghai R&D team, you will help drive the Intima innovation pipeline by building and connecting scientific capabilities, external collaborations, and technical platforms to unlock stronger product ideas for China. The vision of this role is to translate science into consumer-relevant Intima product solutions through structured experimentation, strong project coordination, and effective cross-functional collaboration. What makes this role distinctive is its breadth: beyond supporting formulation work, you will help create bridges between emerging science, innovation partners, and product development needs. Success in this role will be measured by the quality and pace of scientific translation into robust product concepts, technical solutions, and development progress.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of science-to-product development projects for the Intima category.
  • Drive the translation of scientific understanding, new technologies, and innovation opportunities into Intima product development pipelines.
  • Contribute to the establishment and evolution of the Intima scientific roadmap, including efficacy logic, and scientific hypotheses.
  • Design experimental approaches and validation pathways to test scientific hypotheses and support technical decision-making.
  • Support external scientific and technical collaborations, including preparation, technical discussion, and follow-up actions.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align scientific understanding with product development needs.
  • Actively track project progress, structure workstreams, and propose next steps to maintain momentum.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of relevant literature, patents, and scientific trends to inform innovation strategy and opportunity mapping.
  • Ensure all development work is carried out with high standards of safety, scientific rigour, and documentation quality.

The experience we're looking for

  • Master’s degree or above in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, Analytical Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or related scientific disciplines.
  • Experience in formulation, technical development, analytical evaluation, or applied research within consumer products, healthcare, personal care, or adjacent categories is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in experimental design, hypothesis testing, and scientific problem solving.
  • Applied innovation mindset, with the ability to translate scientific insights into development opportunities.
  • Strong structured thinking, capable of breaking down complex problems into clear workstreams and decision paths.
  • High level of initiative, proactively proposing next steps and solutions.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain complex scientific topics in a clear and practical manner.
  • Potential to engage with external scientific or technical partners in a professional and credible way.
  • A strong scientific foundation with the ability to connect research insights to practical product development opportunities.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese is preferred for effective collaboration in a global and cross-functional environment.
