About the role

The main purpose of the job is to drive the Reckitt Production System deployment in the Business Units within the Area, and to further build the capabilities in the manufacturing sites to:

  • Building Continuous Improvement capabilities in the manufacturing organization to improve site performance and resilience
  • Perform structured and site wide diagnostics on R-PS maturity, results, impact, benefits.
  • Establish multi-year Strategy for R-PS in the BUs and support sites in developing R-PS implementation and productivity strategy in line with BU Strat Plan. (ie. War on Waste, OEE to target x%, YOY x% X-Trim savings, Energy/water consumption)
  • Leverage benchmarking and sharing between sites and regions of solutions, tools and techniques, SMEs and Community of Practices on focused technology and specific challenges.
  • Focus own experience and expertise to help close significant and business impactful gaps in selected manufacturing sites, i.e. through execution, training, coaching.

Typical connects are with site directors, regional E2E supply leaders and CI/R-PS leaders, SVP Supply Leads / GBU Supply Leadership team to review progress, prioritize the deployment and priority themes, as well to align the R-PS roll out with other initiatives in the Supply Chain and other functions such as IT&D in support of digitization and automation.

 

The deployment method and standards to be implemented are captured in the Reckitt Production System (R-PS). This system of methods and tools will bring company standard best practices for structured Performance Management throughout the facility, shop floor problem solving capabilities, Leader Standard Work routines, as well as methods and tools to improve the productivity in maintenance, material waste reduction, line labour optimization, cleaning and changeover time reduction (SMED) and Quality laboratory productivity if applicable.

Your responsibilities

The R-PS Area Lead Asia will lead the manufacturing transformation program and deployment of R-PS in Health, Hygiene and Nutrition sites, which includes:

  • establishing an approved R-PS strategy with deployment schedule and budget for the sites with a balance between capability building and impact, speed and cost improvement.
  • Ensure quarterly (SVP/site leads) and monthly (with all sites in region) governance routines in each region
  • Building capabilities in regions and sites (as needed) in conducting the R-PS cycle activities of Maturity self-assessments and Action Planning based on business priorities and capability gaps.
  • Reviewing and aligning on the priorities, issues, targets, timelines, resources and progress through periodic and routine governance meetings with global and regional supply leadership, and site leadership
  • monitoring progress versus the targets, deployment plan and site implementation plans and monitor progress in Anaplan to ensure productivity and sustainable footprint initiatives are captured and supported
  • Support (and Initiate where needed) R-PS “Community of Practice” network to share solutions, benchmarks and Best Practices on selected (priority/impact) topics with participation from each applicable site (ie Technology network Blisters, Maintenance, Thermoforming, …, and CI Network,…)
  • collaborate with peers across BU and regions providing input to the improvement and enhancement of company R-PS standards, ensuring impact and relevance to the business while remaining aligned with the global company standards
  • collaborate with Reckitt Engineering, IT&D, Q, HSE functions in looking for opportunities to apply standardized scalable digital solutions that improve productivity and support its roll out in manufacturing sites
  • collaborate with other company functions to ensure an E2E positive company impact on efforts in manufacturing (ie functions HSE,  HR, Quality, Finance, Planning, Procurement, R&D, Technical Services)
  • Assess manufacturing sites versus implementation maturity of R-PS, in particular post initial deployment

The experience we're looking for

  1. Degree in Engineering or comparable
  2. Minimum of 10 years progressively more responsible experience in manufacturing operations and project management leadership roles
  3. Understand business drivers and able to balance between short and long term objectives.
  4. Must be a recognized and ambitious leader in the company, recognized for standardization, high quality execution, reapplication, effectiveness of implementation and sustained CI.    
  5. Strong background in structured Continuous Improvement programs, routines and techniques such as TPM, WCM-World Class Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, context
  6. Competent in project planning, problem solving (to include simulation, modeling, capital budgeting, cost benefit analysis and information systems development)
  7. Comfortable in creating communication materials for senior leaders to facilitate governance and decision making.
  8. Excellent coaching and influencing skills required.
  9. Knowledge of specific business lines, products and functions services a plus
  10. Confident challenging senior directors to ensure success and sustainability of R-PS methodologies
