About the role

Reckitt is currently undertaking a multi year controls transformation programme to improve the maturity of or global financial controls environment and support compliance with UK legislation around internal control over financial reporting.

Reckitt is a complex and geographically dispersed business hence a regional approach is being taken to management and execution of assurance and transformation activities with regional control assurance squads. This role is focused on executing the assurance and transformation activities, reporting to the Assurance Senior Finance Manager.

Your responsibilities

  • Working with the Squad Lead deliver the controls transformation and assurance activities in the region including engaging market teams, planning and scoping, control design assessment, operational effectiveness testing, remediation and reporting
  • Support the development of the control framework, leading elements of IT tooling implementations, automation testing opportunities and development of various training materials and programmes. Delivers market trainings when required.
  • Coordination with 3rd party providers supporting the delivery of the transformation and assurance plan, responsible for reviewing the quality of the 3rd party deliverables and provides feedback
  • Partner with the business to complete design effectiveness and operational effectiveness testing
  • Provide Subject Matter expertise to support the market with remediation
  • Works closely with the entity finance controllers, control champions and market teams to drive improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency of the control environment
  • Status reporting on progress with Squad lead and Regional Assurance Lead. Leads preparation of materials for key programme and leadership meetings.
  • Input into programme governance structures including preparation of local updates and feedback as appropriate
  • Support the squad lead by facilitate of market stakeholder updates, walkthroughs where appropriate

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in internal control
  • Accountancy qualification would be advantageous
  • Demonstrable knowledge of internal controls
  • Controls implementation and testing experience /management of controls testing
  • Knowledge of other core finance end to end business processes (P2P, O2C, R2R, Inventory)
  • Experience of having worked in finance positions an advantage
  • Big 4 background an advantage
  • Demonstrable ability to engage and manage different level stakeholders and multicultural audience/s through communication and presentation skills
  • Collaborative and transparent ways of working
  • Fluent spoken & written English
  • Effective and impactful communication skills with an ability to articulate complex concepts in concise language
  • Good organizational skills, ability to move from one task to another efficiently
  • Good networking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with virtual teams via video calls, and good use and ability to drive adoption of collaboration tools such as Teams
  • Business/finance experience, preferably in FMCG sector
