About the role

The GBS Transition Manager is responsible for leading and managing the successful transition of business processes into the GBS organization. This includes overseeing end-to-end transition activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations, and delivering value through standardized, efficient, and scalable solutions. 

Your responsibilities

Transition Planning & Execution 

• Develop and manage detailed transition plans, timelines, and resource allocations. 
• Lead cross-functional teams through transition phases including due diligence, knowledge transfer, stabilization, and handover. 
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with transitions. 

Stakeholder Management 

• Engage with senior stakeholders across business units to align transition goals and expectations. 
• Communicate progress, risks, and issues effectively to all relevant parties. 

Process & Performance Management 

• Ensure transitioned processes meet agreed service levels and performance metrics. 
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes post-transition. 

Change Management 

• Support change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new ways of working. 
• Develop and deliver training and communication plans for impacted teams. 

Governance & Compliance 

• Ensure transitions adhere to internal governance frameworks and compliance requirements. 
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for all transition activities. 

The experience we're looking for

Qualifications & Experience: 

• Proven experience in managing transitions within a GBS or shared services environment more than 5 years.  
• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex transitions on time and within budget. 
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. 
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus. 
• Experience working in a global, matrixed organization. 

Skills & Competencies: 

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability. 
• High emotional intelligence and adaptability. 
• Strong analytical and organizational skills. 
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. 
• Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration platforms
