About the role
The GBS Transition Manager is responsible for leading and managing the successful transition of business processes into the GBS organization. This includes overseeing end-to-end transition activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations, and delivering value through standardized, efficient, and scalable solutions.
Your responsibilities
Transition Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage detailed transition plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Lead cross-functional teams through transition phases including due diligence, knowledge transfer, stabilization, and handover.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with transitions.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with senior stakeholders across business units to align transition goals and expectations.
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues effectively to all relevant parties.
Process & Performance Management
- Ensure transitioned processes meet agreed service levels and performance metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes post-transition.
Change Management
- Support change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new ways of working.
- Develop and deliver training and communication plans for impacted teams.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure transitions adhere to internal governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for all transition activities.
The experience we're looking for
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in managing transitions within a GBS or shared services environment more than 5 years.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex transitions on time and within budget.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
- High emotional intelligence and adaptability.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration platforms
