About the role
The GBS Transition Manager is responsible for leading and managing the successful transition of business processes into the GBS organization. This includes overseeing end-to-end transition activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations, and delivering value through standardized, efficient, and scalable solutions.
Your responsibilities
Transition Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage detailed transition plans, timelines, and resource allocations
- Lead cross-functional teams through transition phases including due diligence, knowledge transfer, stabilization, and handover
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with transitions
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with senior stakeholders across business units to align transition goals and expectations
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues effectively to all relevant parties
Process & Performance Management
- Ensure transitioned processes meet agreed service levels and performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes post-transition
Change Management
- Support change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new ways of working
- Develop and deliver training and communication plans for impacted teams
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure transitions adhere to internal governance frameworks and compliance requirements
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for all transition activities
The experience we're looking for
- Proven experience in managing transitions within a GBS or shared services environment more than 10 years
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization
- Strong project management experience with a track record of delivering complex transitions on time and within budget
The skills for success
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability
- High emotional intelligence and adaptability
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration platforms
