About the role
This newly created Global Head Of Environmental role will be instrumental in driving our environmental and sustainability agenda. The role will translate strategy into action, initially ensuring compliance with all legislation within the geographies we operate and compliance with Reckitts standards. Partnering with Regional and Site Directors, you will review compliance status, advise on challenges and help develop and deliver the site environmental masterplans. Your focus will be on delivering manufacturing locations that are compliant and building a future that supports our sustainability strategic agenda.
Your responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Execution
-Develop and implement a Global Environmental strategy aligned with Reckitt’s global environmental and sustainability goals.
-Champion environmental priorities across manufacturing sites and R&D
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
-Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations in your geographical region
-Lead environmental risk assessments and mitigation plans, including incident response and remediation.
-Support sites to ensure non-conformances identified in audit reports are closed on time.
Support Sustainability Initiatives
-Collaborate on programs to reduce water usage, waste generation, carbon emissions.
-Support sites in scope to make sure they have an accurate and up-to-date list of environmental initiatives
Data, Reporting & Transparency
-Provide governance for the environmental KPIs and reporting systems.
Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy
-Partner with internal teams, external regulators and share best practices.
-Represent Reckitt in environmental forums and with local, regional authorities.
Team Leadership & Culture Building
-Lead and develop a high-performing environmental teams across NA
-Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
The experience we're looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental or safety leadership.
• Deep understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks (e.g., EPA, CEPA, GHG Protocol).
• Experience environmental data systems.
