About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and adaptable HR Advisor to support our dynamic and growing Essential Home business unit. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something new — shaping the way we work, supporting teams across the business, and contributing to meaningful people initiatives.

You’ll be deeply involved in the day-to-day HR operations, employee interactions, and strategic projects that make a real impact. From handling employee discussions and supporting HR processes to analysing data and improving how we work, this role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to help build the future of Essential Home with us.

Your responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day HR support, including policy guidance, employee discussions, and issue resolution, ensuring a consistent and fair approach across the business.
  • Contribute to the implementation of people strategies and HR initiatives aligned with the Essential Home business goals.
  • Maintain and improve HR systems and processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Leverage HR data and analytics to identify trends, provide insights, and support decision-making across the people agenda.
  • Support performance, development, and engagement initiatives that drive individual and team growth.
  • Actively participate in projects focused on organisational development, employee wellbeing, and culture.
  • Partner with managers and teams to help build an inclusive, supportive, and high-performing work environment. 

The experience we're looking for

  • Broad experience across multiple areas of HR, including employee relations, operations, and project work.
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation and the ability to apply it in practical situations.
  • Confidence working with HR systems, data, and digital tools — you enjoy streamlining processes and using insights to drive action.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and empathy.
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Organisational skills with strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach to getting things done.
