About the role

The Head of Talent & Learning, CGO & R&D will support, manage and roll out talent strategies and programs across the globe. The role reports into the VP CGO & R&D, and partners the Talent COE closely.

This role is key to partner with the Global LTs and HR Teams within CGO & R&D, in the strategic planning and implementation of development programs, succession planning and driving the talent agenda from Talent Center of Excellence (CoE) for CGO & R&D.

The successful candidate for this position will have proven experience in successfully leading teams and organisations through change, talent initiatives and cycles, driving succession planning and end of year processes. Additionally, they will be adept at leading talent, leadership and cultural deployments, being the voice to the COE by providing feedback and insights from the business, whilst ensuring COE initiatives are successfully deployed and embraced by the organisation.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and actionable plans. In addition to an ability to build and maintain positive relationships, work in matrixed organisations building relationships with stakeholders globally and driving complex global projects. They must be a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Your responsibilities

Talent / Culture & Inclusion-

• Develop talent strategies linked to needs and objectives CGO & R&D, leveraging global programs and tools where available

• Partner with the CGO & R&D HR teams to implement a strategy and approach for career paths, development and capabilities for across groups

• Facilitate key organizational initiatives including talent review process, key talent development planning and succession planning for employees in these functions

• Partner with HR team to develop and implement a performance and talent management strategy including succession planning of critical roles. Understand individuals’ objectives and goals, support on defining development plans for talent

• Implement strategies and programs to continuously drive culture, build leadership capability and employee engagement

• Consult with Senior leadership and HR stakeholders to translate business needs and vision into organizational implications, including developing and implementing high-quality and effective talent solutions

• Implement learning culture agenda into the organization working with the HR Teams. This work will include both design, facilitation and coordination with the Centers of Excellence

• Implement and embed improvements to current the performance and talent process once defined

• Supports change management on new culture changes; provides tools and measurements with which to advance the implementation of these

 

Learning / Leadership-

• Act as partner to CGO & R&D HR Teams, the Functional Leadership Teams and Functional Capability Leads to embed a learning culture in the organization, including the embedment of the Functional Academies.

• Act as partner to Line Managers and HR Directors on training needs analysis and organization development interventions across the functions.

• Act as partner and coach to the CGO & R&D HR Teams to enable skill development in the critical areas of leadership, coaching and functional capabilities

• Organise, facilitate bespoke and focused Leadership trainings and assessments, as well as other key talent workshops where required, including high performance team sessions for senior Leadership Teams.

The experience we're looking for

• Proven, relevant, progressive experience and demonstrated effectiveness leading performance programmes in a multinational matrix environment.

• 5 or more years of professional experience in a manager-level role within training & development and HR generalist

• Proven track record as effective leader, coach & internal consultant with demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and turn that analysis into strategic programs.

• Well-developed facilitation skills along with the ability to take a hands-on approach to design and implementation of such programs

• Proven track record of partnering with senior management as a strategic business partner

• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and interface effectively with all levels of the organisation

• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-cultural environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in presentation

• Strong, operational, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, be a team player, and possess a strong knowledge of performance best practice, metrics and analytics worldwide

• Experience leading through others and managing senior level leaders

• Demonstrated team leadership, partnership, influencing and communication experience
