About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Enterprise Architect, who will play a key role in the development and operating of the Architecture Community of Practice and our modern Architecture Ways of Working, establishing a true “Architecture as a Strategy” culture and mindset. They will drive change activity across the enterprise’s technology and process landscape and will proactively lead the alignment of the IT and Business Strategy.

The role will have a 360-degree view across our technology landscape and will work collaboratively with other Enterprise Architects and with our Capability & IMEX Teams. The role is in our Enterprise Architecture team and reports to the Director of Enterprise Architecture. The role will have a dotted line relationship to the leader of the IT&D Supply team and will be part of their leadership team. They will work the capability owners, dedicated architects and suppliers in IT&D CSLP & Procurement, to ensure we surface the right data about our architecture that drives better decision making, technology choices and aligning to our overall strategic goals.

Your responsibilities

  • The role will act as a key transformation agent for Reckitt. She/he will be a driving force embedding our operating model, and empowering IT&D teams with the tools, artefacts, support network and ways of working to minimise unnecessary architecture handoffs.
  • As an Enterprise Architecture the role will: design, implement and enhance governance processes; run EA processes such architecture review boards and design authorities; define and align the Business Capabilities model and the archetypes used to enable; define and maintain EA Standards and guardrails; and own and manage reference architecture framework and assets.
  • In collaboration with their aligned leadership teams, they will define Architecture viewpoints that support the definition and delivery of Target State Architectures. They will support the development of short- and medium-term roadmaps to support the development of the portfolio towards the target state architecture, within the defined budget constraints.
  • Provide oversight of projects, ensuring strategic alignment and adherence to Reckitt’s architecture principles and standards. Accountable for the architecture compliance of solutions and responsible to sign off the designs.
  • Maintain and optimise the application portfolio with associated data quality in EAM tooling, with accountability for CSLP & Procurement.
  • Partner with the Global Cyber Security function to ensure that security architecture is embedded into all areas of the Enterprise Architecture Ways of Working.
  • Bring an agile mindset to support a modern Architecture approach to solving complex business problems and digital transformation.

The experience we're looking for

  • Experience as Architect and subject matter expert within a Technology or Business domain. Experience in the CSLP & Procurement domains will be a significant advantage.
  • Strong, proven knowledge of the technologies and architectures associated with digital transformation.
  • Pragmatic approach with good understanding of how to manage constraints and conflicting priorities.
  • Good understanding of architectural approaches, models and frameworks, such as TOGAF, with a proven track record of producing enterprise level technology artefacts to support business and technology design decisions.
  • Experience in the creation, management and driving the adoption of enterprise reference architecture.
  • Experience with architecture governance, design authority processes, and overall solution design management processes.
  • Experience with modern tools, techniques and technologies in support of enterprise scale digital transformation management.

The skills for success

  • Strong Technology expertise in Core IT domains or relevant Functional domains.
  • Highly motivated with excellent analysis, execution, and communication skills, who can collaborate with senior stakeholders, challenging and influencing roadmaps & decision making for Reckitt.
  • A strong influencer, communicator and storyteller, with the ability to make complex technical information simple and accessible for non-technical audiences
  • Commercially astute and able to deal with ambiguity.
  • Also skilled in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Cyber Security Strategy, Cyber Security, Data Privacy, Portfolio Management, Data Governance, Product Compliance, Digital Transformation, Stakeholder Relationship Management, Outstanding Communication, stakeholder engagement.
