Our Essential Home Sales teams play a vital role in delivering our purpose by creating shared success with retail partners and ensuring consumers have access to trusted hygiene and home care solutions both in-store and online. Within Essential Home Sales, we focus on driving category growth and outperforming across all channels in highly competitive markets. This creates a fast-paced, dynamic environment where collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to success. Our sales professionals operate in roles such as Field Sales, Key Account Management, Trade Marketing, and Category Development—bringing our brands closer to consumers every day.
About the role
As a National Account Executive within Essential Home Sales, you’ll play a key role in building strong partnerships with major retailers such as Tesco, Boots, Asda, and Sainsbury’s. Essential Home is a market leader in home and hygiene solutions, recognised for its commercial strength and innovation—30% of our sales over the past three years have come from new product launches. Your responsibilities
- Support to develop and implement the annual business plan for account portfolio.
- Achieve Net Revenue, Gross Margin, 4P targets (Product, Placement, Price & Promotion) & Net Working Capital targets for a specified account
- Working with the in-store merchandising team to deliver best practice in-store sales execution, on shelf availability and promotional compliance
- Analysis of sales data to provide insights for National Accounts team – focusing specifically on promotional activity and new product launches
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Services to ensure that sales forecasts are accurate and adequate stock levels are available within the customers supply chain system
- Work with marketing teams to implement best-in-class promotional execution and visibility for all trade promotions
- Develop working relationships to deliver account objectives
- Support or run key projects within your account, developing new opportunities where appropriate
The experience we're looking for
- Degree calibre candidate, with sales experience gained in FMCG, OTC or Retail, we want someone who has the hunger and desire to take our business to the next level.
- Action-oriented and energetic, with a focused and pragmatic approach to problem solving and a strong desire to make things happen.
- You’ll demonstrate financial and commercial acumen and strategic thinking, be analytical and creative
- Confident and mature, with strong communication & influencing skills; credible in front of managers at all levels
- Able to work alone and at the same time contribute to team objectives
- An interest and passion for entrepreneurship is critical
