About the role

The Sales & Brand Controller is a key position in the Reckitt Nordics Finance organization supporting the Commercial leaders as a strategic business partner in delivering profitable financial growth while providing a full spectrum of financial control and financial support to the customers and brands within Reckitt.

Your responsibilities

The Sales & Brand Controller will be working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams across the region. Key responsibilities are:

  • Prepare timely and accurate plans, forecasts and latest views.
  • Drive and understand all aspects of the Commercial P&L, performing customer and brand profitability analyses, providing context and insights into the business dynamics driving financial results.
  • Maintain financial control to balance sheet positions relating to trade investment.
  • Provide financial support in contract negotiations, pricing and trade investment strategies.
  • Support and challenge (if necessary) assumptions in analyzing and implementing business growth opportunities, such as new product development and investment analysis.
  • Maintain positive and proactive interaction with sales/marketing departments to ensure ongoing, effective two-way working relationships for exchange of quality financial information.
  • Manage functionality, usage and continuous improvement of various financial tools, processes and procedures.
  • Ad-hoc analyses and requests to support the decision making.

The experience we're looking for

  • 3-5 years experience in Finance/Commercial Controlling
  • Experience in extremely competitive, fast moving FMCG environment Industry/ Branded Consumer Goods companies is highly value

 

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Controlling or Economics

 

Language:

  • Fluency (oral and written) in English
  • Scandinavian language is advantageous 

 

IT:  

  • Strong system inclination (SAP, Microsoft Office, Power BI)
  • Excellent MS Excel knowledge

 

Functional Skills: 

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to think and act independently with drive and agility
  • Good to advanced accounting skills
  • Business acumen and commercial understanding

 

Personal Skills: 

  • Driven to take on additional responsibility in an organization that provides a high level of autonomy with ambition to progress your career with commercial and finance functions
  • Proven track record of building relationships across departments, well-developed communication skills and good team player
  • Confident at challenging the status quo and both influencing and challenging decisions at a senior management level
  • Multi-tasking – structured thinker with well-organized working approach, highly efficient and able to push multiple projects forward at the same time
  • Entrepreneurial – help the commercial team develop new initiatives / spot and resolve problems with a high result orientation
