About the role
Electrical and Controls Technicians are responsible for reducing equipment downtime, troubleshooting to root cause, and solving equipment malfunctions.
Your responsibilities
- Maintaining and troubleshooting high-speed packing, process, and utilities power & controls equipment
- Using electrical test equipment to diagnose electrical problems.
- Performing preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment
- Troubleshooting, monitoring, & programming PLC, HMI systems
- Troubleshooting and monitoring variable frequency drives, servo control systems, robotics
- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing process control equipment
- Sharing knowledge to expand the skillset of the technical department.
The experience we're looking for
- Minimum of a high school diploma/GED & 2-year technical degree/certification in Industrial Electrical or >3 years’ experience in related field
- Applied electrical and controls skills in an industrial environment
- Knowledge and practical application with some of the following technology areas: PLC’s, HMI’s, process instrumentation, machine control systems, variable frequency drives (PowerFlex, etc.), servo drives, robotics, power distribution (<600V), control system networking, and electrical safety
- Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis for industrial electrical issues
- Knowledge and practical application of electrical test equipment
- Capable of using PLC program navigation for troubleshooting
- Understands the Hazards and Safety associated with up to 1000vac.
- Able to read and use electrical schematics and single-line drawings.
- Interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Able to work a 12 hour rotating schedule that includes working every other weekend
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- This role is not currently sponsoring Visa’s or considering international movement

$40 per hour

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
