About the role
Be the voice of the customer & retailer. Through a deep understanding of the needs of the Consumer, Shopper and Customer you will co-build plans with Australia’s leading retailers bringing our categories to life, creating sustainable growth occasions for your assigned portfolio of brands.
This role is a 12-month fixed term contract.
Your responsibilities
- Build a deep category understanding. Develop strategies based on category and shopper understanding that will drive growth.
- Influence at all levels the strategic direction within our business and embed customer centricity throughout the business.
- Drive Reckitt insight capability to optimise Retail Activation, using tools like shopper research, consumer research and customer data as the basis for category plans
- Lead the development of story and sell in for customer-facing workshops and range reviews, in partnership with Sales, Trade Strategy and Marketing.
- Assisting in developing category arguments/input to elevate Reckitt’s customer and Joint Business Planning capability/output.
- Engage our key retail customers to build category roadmaps that lay the foundation for Reckitt Brand activations.
- Position Reckitt as the Supplier of choice on all aspects of Category Development, recognised by the Customer as the most commercially astute category counsel across Consumer/ Macro Trends/ Shopper and Channel Dynamics.
- Effective communicator and influencer, adept at stakeholder engagement and negotiation.
- Proficient in using Syndicated Data (e.g., Nielsen / IRI) and tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant category management software.
The experience we're looking for
- Solid background in trade marketing, sales or marketing with a proven track record of crafting compelling trade strategies.
- Insight driven with a strong understanding of trade channels and consumer behaviour.
- Excellent ability to analyse data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Creative thinker with a results-driven mindset and ability to adapt to market shifts. - Effective communicator and influencer, adept at stakeholder engagement and negotiation.
