About the role

We're on the lookout for an analytical and forward-thinking Logistics Specialist (Freight) to join our energetic supply services team at Reckitt. You'll be the brains behind the seamless delivery of our products, ensuring they reach our customers quickly and efficiently. Your day-to-day impact on our supply chain will directly contribute to the satisfaction of millions who trust our leading consumer health and hygiene brands. Your responsibilities

  • Deliver superior customer service to our trade customers at optimal freight costs, enhancing gross margin and positively impact net revenue.
  • Ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time, enabling 100% fulfilment to our customers’ shelves.
  • Own all 3rd party transport arrangements for freight operations across Australia and New Zealand, with swift issue resolution and proactive risks management.
  • Manage the relationship with customs brokers and port cartage providers to ensure smooth and rapid transfer of ocean and air imports and exports through customs and port operations to warehouse receipt.
  • Monitor duties paid on goods imported to Australia and New Zealand, correct under/overpayment and documentation accuracy, leverage opportunities in new trade agreements and tariff concessions.
  • Scrutinise container utilisation for ocean shipment, working with origins to optimise container size, type and fill rates.
  • Manage local relationships with multiple ocean freight forwarders via contractual service KPIs. 
  • Manage the Reckitt Transportation Management System in Australia, ensuring timely reporting, analysis, and improvement of Cost to Serve metrics with Customer Service
  • Manage and identify transport optimisation opportunities internally and externally, maximising flexibility at the lowest cost whilst ensuring service
  • Ensure operational excellence, including Reckitt’s compliance to Chain of Responsibility and other regulations across the Australia and New Zealand freight network
  • Ensure Reckitt Logistics can always respond to demand changes and capacity constraints by understanding the competitive marketplace and industry practices

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance or related experience deemed equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in FMCG/FoodBev/Retail Logistics 
  • Demonstrated experience leading tendering activities, contract negotiation and managing 3rd party logistics providers. 
  • Experienced in working within supply chain operations teams, managing 3PL performance, with knowledge of the Australian logistics industry and WHS, ideally in FMCG, food & beverage or pharma manufacture, transportation, or customer service areas. 
  • Knowledge of Australia and New Zealand codes for Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Chain of Responsibility
  • A knack for numbers and data analysis, with proficiency in tools that turn data into dialogue.
  • A detail-devoted, organised approach, juggling tasks with the precision of a seasoned pro.
