We’re looking for a Packaging Technician to join our Supply Services team in what is a full time position based in Sydney Australia  

This role will focus on managing the development and implementation of new packaging concepts, components and packaging changes in support of new or existing product development, cost reduction opportunities, and operational improvement activities.
Our portfolio of packaging types, materials used & finished products is quite broad & is of substantial volume & value. The role is heavily involved in delivering Embellishment Projects to market, working with Commercial and Suppliers in the concept stage.

Your role will include but not be limited to: 
Participating in project teams for new and existing product developments, with professional advice concerning optimal materials / concepts to be applied for specific projects
Coordination of yearly APCO reports
Managing all packaging aspects of allocated projects, utilising and managing both internal and external resources 
Providing project leaders with optimal embellishment solutions and relevant information (including quotations) for them
Performing packaging price maintenance under guidance of manager.
Maintaining appropriate specs and documentation to support established business processes.
Ensuring legal & policy compliance of all packaging through assessment against relevant codes, standards or policies, including local sustainability regulations and requirements.

You’ll succeed because you… 
Have a curious mind, always asking questions around ‘How can I make this better?’
Have experience managing complex projects, you excel with your time management and are an expert at prioritising. 
Have experience using SAP. 
Have strong communication skills, you’re assertive and have no problem asking questions.
Have experience in packaging of a wide portfolio of products of different sizes, mediums and dimensions.
