Summary
The Trade Marketing Manager plays a key role within the country sales team, driving excellence in store (4P) execution across Key channels/key customers/key accounts. The role will also focus on building expert knowledge in our key categories and sharing this with the customer in order to build long term partnerships and conduct revenue growth management.
Scope of Role
Leads within the country of the development and implementation of category management strategies, this will focus on increasing Reckitt’s in store presence in our categories, strengthening our brands, optimizing product assortment, and promotional strategy.
Your responsibilities
- Develops country/customer 4P strategies and tactics in line with channel plans.
- Defines Category trade marketing KPIs and manages the trade marketing budget
- Contributes to category marketing plans, with customer & category data analysis and promotional strategy
- Continuous analysis of the customer’s position works together with sales manager to recommend in store actions aimed at strengthening Reckitt’s position in the category.
- Develops and implements Reckitt’s promotional strategy (in line with brand priorities and media plans) across customers.
- Presenting on 4P strategy to our customers
- Key contact for the brand marketing team with regards to all promotional and customer activity.
Key Challenges
- Competing in an increasingly competitive environment to achieve a leading position (category champion) in Reckitt’s key categories.
- Translating brand marketing actions into winning customer marketing actions.
Previous Experience
- Prior trade marketing experience with a fast moving consumer goods company of at least four years, and preferably additional functional experience in either : Sales/Key Account function working with key international retailers, or brand marketing.
- Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivating.
- Tenacious and resilient, driven to achieve even when faced with obstacles
- Leadership, people management and interpersonal skills of building strong working relationships and influencing among customers and internal teams.
- Strong commercial understanding of business issues/opportunities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral (in English).
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategy and planning issues.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementation.
