About the role

The Finance Manager – Group Consolidation & CHQ holding Companies is responsible for leading the Group’s consolidated external reporting process and overseeing financial management of CHQ holding companies. 

This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant and timely consolidated reporting under IFRS and managing statutory reporting requirements of CHQ holding entities. 

The position requires strong technical accounting expertise, consolidation system knowledge, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex multinational environment. 

Your responsibilities

Group Consolidation & External Reporting 

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end Group consolidation process. 
  • Own consolidated P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and equity statements. 
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS. 
  • Review intercompany eliminations, FX translations and consolidation adjustments. 
  • Manage consolidation system submissions and reconciliations (e.g., HFM/Hyperion). 
  • Support preparation of Annual Report, RNS announcements and Audit Committee materials. 
  • Liaise with external auditors during interim and year-end audits. 

 

 CHQ & Holding Companies Oversight 

  • Oversee accounting and reporting CHQ holding entities. 
  • Ensure Companies Act compliance including dividend distribution requirements. 
  • Review distributable reserves calculations and capital reductions. 
  • Manage intercompany funding, equity injections and dividend flows. 

 

Financial Control & Governance 

  • Maintain strong internal control framework over consolidation. 
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of reconciliations. 
  • Drive standardisation and improvements in close process. 

 

Stakeholder Management 

  • Act as key contact for external auditors, Treasury, Tax, Legal and CoSec teams. 
  • Present financial outputs to senior management and Audit Committee. 
  • Lead and develop junior team members. 
  • Support offshore / shared service transition where applicable. 

The experience we're looking for

Key Skills & Experience 

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA). 
  • Strong consolidation experience within a listed multinational group. 
  • Deep understanding of IFRS and UK Companies Act requirements. 
  • Experience with consolidation systems (HFM / Hyperion / SAP Group Reporting). 
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines under tight reporting timelines. 
  • High attention to detail and control mindset. 

 

Desirable Experience 

  • Big 4 background. 
  • Exposure to financing entities and hedge accounting. 
  • Experience with legal entity restructuring or de-merger activity. 
  • Experience working in a FMCG or global consumer business. 
  • Experience in shared service model transitions.
