About the role
As the Head of People Protection, you will lead Reckitt’s global people protection capability, integrating executive protection, travel risk management, event security, intelligence, and emergency preparedness into a cohesive global programme. This is a newly established role within the Global Corporate Security & Resilience function.
Reporting to the Global Director Corporate Security & Resilience, this senior leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic frameworks that safeguard Reckitt employees, senior executives, and business travellers across a dynamic and evolving threat landscape.
Leading a team, the role combines strategic leadership with operational delivery, ensuring proactive threat monitoring, intelligence-led decision making, preparedness, and effective protective measures across global operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders including senior executives and their supporting staff, regional teams, and external partners to strengthen Reckitt’s protective security posture while supporting employee safety worldwide.
Location: Reckitt House (Stokley Park, Uxbridge)
Your responsibilities
- Lead Reckitt’s global people protection strategy, integrating executive protection, travel risk management, event security, and protective intelligence capabilities.
- Develop and implement global frameworks, standards, and governance processes to safeguard employees, executives, and business travellers across international operations.
- Oversee the operation and continuous improvement of intelligence-led monitoring, threat assessment, emergency notification, and crisis escalation capabilities.
- Lead protective security planning and operational support for executive travel, corporate events, and elevated-risk activities, ensuring proportionate and risk-based mitigation measures.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, senior executives and their supporting staff, regional security teams, external vendors, law enforcement, and specialist partners to strengthen global protective capabilities.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team and outsourced partners, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a strong culture of security awareness.
The experience we're looking for
- Significant experience in executive protection, people protection and corporate security, within a complex global organisation.
- Demonstrated experience leading global security or protective programmes across multiple regions and high-risk environments.
- Demonstratable career of progressive leadership in global physical security (Ideally within manufacturing, supply chain or FMCG sectors).
- Degree in security, risk management or related field is advantageous (equivalent experience accepted)
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams across geographically dispersed locations.
- Kidnap Response experience or training desirable.
- Experience managing third-party vendors, specialist providers, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
