About the role

The IT&D Manager – Factory is a key role within the IT&D organisation and this role will be responsible for relationship and demand management for the site factory.  

The role is based in Mira (Venezia / Veneto), Italy to support transformation in our production facility to provide direct engagement with the factory teams. The selected candidate will work hand in hand with business leadership to implement business, process, data and technology standards as part of a global transformation programme, as well as ensuring that Business Unit and site-specific demands are considered.    

The role reports to the site IT&D Director and will work in cooperation with the Manufacturing product organisation as well as the site and plant directors and the operational teams. The role is part of a wider of business facing IT&D personnel taking account of all of Reckitt.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment of global IT&D initiatives across assigned manufacturing sites, ensuring successful adoption and business value realization.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of IT&D services through strategic partners to provide a seamless user experience within the factories.
  • Build strong partnerships with factory leadership, acting as the primary IT&D representative and ensuring clear communication across stakeholders.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of factory IT&D projects, from identifying business needs and gaps through to implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor factory IT operations and support services, coordinating issue resolution, communications, and escalations where required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve factory technology, processes, and infrastructure, balancing operational requirements, costs, and business priorities.
  • Provide guidance on new systems, technologies, and digital solutions to support future manufacturing capabilities and business growth.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other business functions to develop and implement sustainable technology solutions.

The experience we're looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in FMCG, manufacturing, IT, digital transformation or related environments - preferred.
  • Demonstrable Manufacturing process understanding and proficiency; experience with IT Operating Model alongside Industrial Automation and Industry 4.0.
  • Delivering projects and supporting organisational change initiatives within manufacturing or technology environments.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Automation, manufacturing systems and data analytics solutions.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with manufacturing, engineering and IT&D stakeholders at local, regional and global levels, including factory leadership teams and shop-floor personnel.
  • Working within a matrix organisation, supporting demand management, solution delivery and cross-functional business initiatives.
  • Collaborating with business and technical teams to identify operational requirements, communicate technical solutions and resolve manufacturing technology challenges.

The skills for success

  • Proven business partnering: The IT&D Manager – Factory will need to build relationships (virtually and in-person) with the Reckitt Manufacturing community within the region, as well as the global IT&D communities. Should also be able to function at an operational level and capable of building tangible and sustainable relationships with the key personnel within the factory and on the shop floor.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining global technology, information and compliance standards within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience evaluating and proposing technology, infrastructure and operational improvements, balancing business requirements, operational efficiency and cost considerations.
  • Experience partnering with engineering, manufacturing and other business functions to introduce new technologies, capabilities and ways of working while maintaining operational ownership and continuous improvement.
