About the role

As a Packaging Development Manager based at our Mira factory, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of sustainable, high-performance packaging solutions across Reckitt’s portfolio.

You will lead end-to-end packaging development —from concept creation to industrialization—ensuring our packaging meets the highest standards of functionality, quality, and environmental responsibility.

Working in close partnership with Global Innovation team,  R&D, Supply, and Marketing teams, you will help bring Reckitt’s sustainability ambitions to life through breakthrough packaging design and best optimized cost effective solutions.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and manage packaging development projects for multiple product categories (e.g., home, hygiene, and germ protection).
  • Deliver innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable packaging solutions aligned with Reckitt’s sustainability roadmap and corporate commitments.
  • Oversee the entire packaging lifecycle, from concept design, 3D modeling, and prototyping to testing, validation, and full-scale industrialization.
  • Act as Product Owner within cross-functional Agile teams, fostering collaboration between R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Marketing.
  • Partner with global suppliers and technology partners to identify and implement cutting-edge materials and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with global packaging standards, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive laboratory testing, line validation, and technical documentation for new packaging formats.
  • Manage and develop a cross-functional team of packaging engineers and specialists.
  • Implement new technical systems and tools to enhance packaging efficiency and quality.
  • Anticipate future packaging trends, materials, and innovations to support Reckitt’s strategic growth and environmental goals.

The experience we're looking for

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in packaging development within FMCG, beverage, or household product industries.
  • Proven success in end-to-end project management and product industrialization.
  • Deep expertise in packaging materials and technologies (plastics, cartonboard, laminates, and sustainable alternatives).
  • Experience working in international and cross-functional teams.
  • English skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Packaging Engineering, or related field.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD tools (eg SolidWorks) and/or graphic software (eg Adobe Photoshop) is an advantage
