About the role
Joining Reckitt's R&D team at the Mira CoE means becoming part of a fast-paced and innovation-driven environment where science is transformed into products that improve everyday lives. As an R&D Technician supporting the Vanish team, you will contribute to the development, testing, and optimization of new and existing formulations, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of quality, performance, and compliance. This is a 12-month temporary opportunity offering hands-on exposure to innovation projects and the chance to build strong technical expertise within a leading global FMCG organization.
Your responsibilities
- Support the development and optimization of new and existing products by preparing laboratory batches, prototypes, and test samples.
- Conduct product performance evaluations, stability studies, and physico-chemical analyses, generating reliable data to support R&D decision-making.
- Accurately document experimental activities, maintaining laboratory notebooks, technical documentation, and test results in accordance with company standards.
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring an efficient and well-organized laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to project activities to support successful product development and delivery.
- Manage laboratory materials and consumables, ensuring adequate inventory levels and timely availability of required supplies.
- Ensure full compliance with Reckitt's Quality Management System (QMS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all Health, Safety, Environmental, and regulatory requirements.
In compliance with Legislative Decree No. 96/2026 on pay transparency, this job offer provides for employment under the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) “Chemical Industry and Chemical-Pharmaceutical”, which governs the applicable classification and remuneration framework.
The gross annual salary for this position ranges between €30.800 and €46.000. This range is determined in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement and is based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including qualifications, professional experience, competencies, and responsibilities associated with the role. The definition and application of these criteria are carried out in accordance with the company’s internal remuneration policies and are subject to review and validation by the competent HR function.

The experience we're looking for
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Laboratory Sciences, Materials Science, or related field) required.
- Previous experience as a Laboratory Technician or within an R&D, Quality, or Testing environment (1-2 years preferred) is an advantage.
- Understanding of laboratory practices and product development activities, with the ability to support R&D projects through testing and experimentation.
- Ability to accurately record, analyze, and report experimental activities, data, and test results in line with laboratory standards and procedures.
- Awareness of chemical and physical laboratory hazards, with a strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Good Laboratory Practices.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive, results-oriented approach to delivering high-quality work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; laboratory systems knowledge is a plus.
- Fluent Italian and English required, both written and spoken.
