Your responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the enterprise data platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Design and implement modern data pipelines, data lakes, and warehouse architectures using tools and platforms such as Databricks, Azure Data Services, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or similar technologies.
  • Oversee the architecture and development of the data platform to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and real-time data processing use cases.
  • Ensure seamless integration of data sources across the organization, delivering a unified, trusted data foundation for analytics and decision-making.
  • Drive best practices in data engineering, including data modeling, ETL/ELT design, version control, and automation.
  • Establish and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards to ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams, IT functions, and business stakeholders to align the platform’s capabilities with business initiatives and priorities.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to ensure the platform remains cutting-edge and cost-effective.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of data engineers and platform specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to ensure the successful delivery of platform initiatives.

The experience we're looking for

 

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset: self-starter with a high sense of ownership and accountability.
  • You are collaborative and build bridges internally and externally.
  • You have a proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms in cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • You have hands-on expertise in modern data technologies, including Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift, BigQuery, or equivalent solutions.
  • You are skilled in building and optimizing data pipelines and workflows for both batch and real-time processing using tools like Apache Spark or Kafka.
  • You bring a deep understanding of data architecture, distributed computing, and data integration frameworks.
  • You excel at aligning technical solutions with business objectives, ensuring the data platform drives measurable value.
  • You have a strong grasp of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks, including GDPR and other relevant standards.
  • Your strong communication and stakeholder management skills enable you to align cross-functional teams and build organizational buy-in.
  • You are experienced in leading and mentoring technical teams, fostering collaboration, and delivering results.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, AWS Certified Data Analytics, Databricks Certified Developer) are a plus.
