About the role
An HR Advisor role extends support to the HRBPs with respect to employee relations case resolution, vendor management for employee services, providing guidance on counselling, support on local projects, policies, procedures or any other project support etc. HR advisors will extend support to the HRBPs in the local market by providing them functional understanding and expertise based on the project ask. They will not act as an HRBP or perform day‑to‑day business partnering or operations role.
Your responsibilities
- Partner with HR Business Partners to provide input into business goals and to execute local HR projects and to implement HR programs, as needed.
- Manage employee relations investigations, provide guidance (including coaching and counselling), and own case resolution for issues raised.
- Vendor management for employee services such as benefits, outplacement etc.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of cases ensuring that all relevant documentation, correspondence, and outcomes are appropriately recorded.
- Collaborate with HRBP, Legal Counsel, and appropriate third parties to ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of HR policies, procedures, and processes as required by the business. Ensure alignment with project goals and organizational objectives.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on self‑service transactions and navigating HR Portal (during HRT transition period) – limited duration.
The experience we're looking for
- Proven experience in an HR Advisor, HR Operations, or employee relations–focused role, within a complex or multinational organization.
- Solid experience in HRIT systems, preferably with platforms like Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM.
- Hands-on experience managing employee relations cases end to end, including advising managers on performance, conduct, absence, and grievance-related matters.
- A knack for resolving system issues with a keen analytical mind.
- Aptitude for change management and executing strategic plans effectively.
- Experience supporting or partnering with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to deliver local HR initiatives, programs, and project-based work.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management for HR-related services (e.g. benefits administration, employee services, external providers).
- Strong working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation, with the ability to apply them pragmatically and consistently.
- Experience collaborating with Centers of Excellence (CoEs) or specialist HR teams to support policy development, implementation, or continuous improvement.
- Experience providing guidance to employees and managers on HR processes, self-service tools, and HR systems or portals.
- Exposure to HR process improvement, policy updates, or change/transition environments (e.g. system rollouts, operating model changes) is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
