About the role

As the Head of GPS Talent & Learning you will act as the connecting bridge between the Talent (CoE) and the Global People Services (GPS) teams. 

This role ensures the seamless operationalization of global Talent processes including PDR Talent, Leadership, Learning, Wellbeing & Engagement by translating the Talent CoE’s strategy and policy designs into globally consistent, well-governed operations.

With a strong focus on project management, governance, and process optimization, this role oversees end-to-end delivery coordination across GPS partnering with the Talent COE, IT&D and broader HR. This role ensures that all Talent processes run effectively and standardized.

Ownership of policy, framework and program design is the responsibility of the Talent CoE, where transactional delivery and operational execution is the responsibility of the People Services teams. This role ensures both sides are seamlessly connected through governance, process discipline, and continuous improvement, while at the same time managing the delivery of operations.

Your responsibilities

Process Governance & Operationalization

  • Own the end-to-end global Talent & Learning process framework, ensuring policies designed by the Talent CoE are translated into operationally sound processes, while at the same time support the CoE with inputs to improve policy frameworks.
  • Maintain clear governance, controls, and accountability between Talent CoE (design) and GPS (execution), ensuring process integrity and consistency across all markets.
  • Serve as the global owner Talent, Learning, Leadership, Wellbeing & Engagement operational processes.
  • Oversee annual BAU process cycles (PDR) to ensure timelines, system readiness, testing, and operationalization are managed in alignment with design intent.
  • Lead post-cycle reviews and identify improvement opportunities in process efficiency, automation and employee/manager experience.

 

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement in BAU

  • Drive ongoing simplification, standardization, and automation of Talent & Learning processes to improve accuracy, speed and compliance.
  • Partner with IT&D, Talent COE to manage system enhancements, data flows, testing cycles, and change requests linked to Talent & Learning operations.
  • Ensure that process documentation, RACI matrices, and SOPs are maintained, communicated, and updated in line with system or policy changes.

 

Governance, Controls & Performance

  • Accountable to maintain and monitor CoE Designed global KPIs, SLAs, and dashboards to track process performance, compliance, and service delivery across markets.
  • Maintain oversight of audit readiness, data quality, and adherence to internal control frameworks for Talent & Learning processes.
  • Ensure risk management and compliance are embedded throughout all operational routines.

 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner closely with the TALENT CoE on policy design, ensuring early operational feasibility checks and smooth translation into processes.
  • Work with the broader GPS Talent & Learning team to ensure processes are consistently executed and continuously improved.
  • Collaborate with the Talent COE and IT&D teams to manage dependencies, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with global and local requirements.
  • Act as the central escalation and decision-making point for operational process-related challenges across Talent & Learning.

 

Scope of Influence

  • Oversees global operational frameworks for Talent & Learning processes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure global alignment and process excellence.
  • Provides direction and governance to GPS delivery teams executing day-to-day activities.

The experience we're looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in Talent & Learning or Shared Services within a multinational environment.
  • Strong process management background with experience in Talent & Learning operationalization.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, cross-functional projects across multiple regions.
  • Proven ability to manage teams across multiple regions.
  • Deep understanding of HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, ServiceNow) and process automation.
  • Strong governance, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with pragmatic delivery management in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
