About the role

The Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Manager will play a vital role in development, deployment and management of company’s IT&D TCO capability with the help of market leading tooling. Person on this position need to have deep experience in building data models and leveraging TBM framework to ensure cost transparency, standardisation, visualisation and reporting to drive value-based decision-making.
This position will be reporting to FinOps Lead and will partner with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to align application spend with business outcomes in a dynamic FMCG environment.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy and own the end-to-end TCO model for Reckitt’s full application portfolio, covering all cost layers: infrastructure, licensing, support, development, and operational run costs
  • Define and implement consistent cost allocation methodologies aligned to the TBM taxonomy
  • Produce regular App TCO dashboards and reports (using Power BI, Apptio BI or similar tooling), enabling business units and technology leaders to understand the true cost and value of applications they consume
  • Support application rationalisation initiatives by surfacing cost, risk, and usage data, driving “build vs buy vs retire” decisions
  • Lead the deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of TBM tooling (e.g. IBM Apptio Costing or equivalent platforms)
  • Serve as the primary system owner for TBM tool, managing integrations with source systems including SAP, ServiceNow etc
  • Ensure the TBM model is maintained, updated, and aligned with Reckitt’s evolving IT landscape, Organisation Delivery Model and fiscal calendar
  • Facilitate regular showback and chargeback conversations with business unit stakeholders, promoting cost accountability and transparency
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to align the application portfolio taxonomy with the TBM Cost Model
  • Identify and track on cost-saving opportunities (e.g., rationalisation, consolidation, decommissioning, license optimisation)
  • Act as a bridge between IT, Finance, Procurement, and business units using a common TBM language
  • Present insights using dashboards and storytelling techniques to senior leadership
  • Drive data quality, consistency, and automation in cost reporting

The experience we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Finance, TBM, or a closely related discipline within a complex, multinational organisation
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience deploying and operating TBM platforms
  • Strong understanding of TBM taxonomy and frameworks (cost pools, IT towers, applications, services)
  • Proven ability to build and maintain full application TCO models, incorporating direct and indirect cost allocation
  • Experience integrating TBM tools with financial systems (e.g. SAP) and IT management platforms (e.g. ServiceNow, Cloud Billing APIs)
  • Understanding of showback and chargeback models and experience facilitating cost allocation conversations with business stakeholders
  • Strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, cost modelling, business cases)
  • Advanced Excel and data modelling skills, experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI or similar) preferred
  • Experience in FMCG or large multinational organisations preferred
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; able to present complex financial data to non-technical executives with clarity and confidence
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a track record of turning data into strategic insight
  • Self-starter with the ability to drive cross-functional programmes with minimal supervision
