About the role

At Reckitt, we are transforming how we drive revenue growth through advanced analytics and our in-house product, RGMx. This is not a typical data science role - you will directly shape how pricing, promotions, and commercial decisions are made across markets.

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Data Scientist who will be responsible for developing and enhancing the methodologies and algorithms that power our framework. You will play a key role in evolving our RGMx product, developing cutting-edge methodologies, and turning complex data into actionable strategies that drive measurable business impact. You will work at the intersection of data science, technology, and commercial strategy - partnering with cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of revenue growth management.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced statistical and machine learning methodologies to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of the RGMx tool in alignment with priorities.
  • Continuously test, validate, and refine models to ensure robustness, reliability, and business relevance.
  • Design and build scalable data science solutions using Python, PySpark, SQL (optionally R or Julia).
  • Work with modern cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Databricks, integrating multiple data sources and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Monitor and improve model performance in production, ensuring scalability and long-term sustainability (experience with MLOps, including CI/CD, model versioning).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and enhance the RGMx tool, ensuring it meets the needs of our stakeholders and translate complex business challenges into scalable data science solutions.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality and maintainability by writing clean, modular, and maintainable code, and actively contributing to code reviews and engineering standards.
  • Establish and promote consistent ways of working across the team, including coding standards, reproducibility, and documentation practices.
  • Contribute to defining the right technology stack and algorithmic approaches for scalability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Create clear and impactful visualizations and data products (dashboards, presentations) to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Document methodologies, processes, and outputs to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and revenue growth management to continuously improve the RGMx tool.
  • Leverage deep understanding of FMCG market dynamics and sell-out (POS) data to ensure models reflect real-world behavior across pricing, promotions, assortment, and channels.

The experience we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience applying advanced analytics to real-world business challenges (pricing, sales, revenue optimization), from prototype to measurable impact.
  • University Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning techniques (regression, classification, time series, clustering, explainable AI) and their practical application.
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, statsmodels) and strong SQL skills for working with complex datasets.
  • Experience with cloud and big data environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Apache Spark) and familiarity with MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow).
  • Good knowledge of software engineering best practices, including Git, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams and collaborating with business and technical functions.
  • Proactive, curious, and ownership-driven mindset with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of FMCG market dynamics and experience with POS (sell-out) data, including pricing, promotions, and assortment challenges

You’ll love it because…

  • It is a unique opportunity to shape how data and advanced analytics drive commercial decisions across markets—directly influencing pricing, promotions, and growth for globally recognized brands.
  • Work deployed into real business processes, driving tangible impact and powering decisions used daily across the organization.
  • High level of ownership and autonomy, with the ability to turn ideas into scalable products.
  • Collaboration with talented, cross-functional teams in an international environment.
  • An ownership-driven culture that invests in growth, challenges boundaries, and supports doing your best work.
