About the role

As IT&D Senior Manager, Data Science, you will lead Reckitt’s Global Data Science Chapter, bringing together Data Scientists and AI Engineers working across global products and platforms.
This is a strategic leadership role combining people leadership, data science expertise, and business partnership. You will shape the vision for the Data Science capability, guide technical excellence, and help translate complex business challenges into scalable AI and analytics solutions.

Your responsibilities

•    Define and execute the vision and strategy for the Global Data Science Chapter, aligned to broader IT&D and     business priorities.
•    Drive innovation across data science, AI, and advanced analytics initiatives.
•    Support strategic global programmes related to Data Science, Data Visualisation, and AI.
•    Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global team of Data Scientists and AI Engineers.
•    Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, inclusion, and technical excellence.
•    Mentor and coach team members to support career growth and capability development.
•    Partner closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to define delivery approaches and resource     allocation for data science initiatives.
•    Ensure solutions are scalable, impactful, and aligned with business value creation.
•    Promote best practices in machine learning, AI engineering, and Responsible AI adoption.

The experience we're looking for

•    Experience in Data Science, ideally within FMCG/CPG, retail, or similarly complex global environments.
•    Strong leadership experience including managing and developing high-performing teams.
•    Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and work cross-functionally in matrix organisations.
•    Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
•    Strong technical understanding of Python, SQL, and modern data science ecosystems.
•    Experience building Generative AI solutions including embeddings, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, context engineering, and model evaluation frameworks such as MLflow or Langfuse.
•    Strong experience applying machine learning, NLP, predictive modelling, and advanced analytics to solve business problems.
•    Experience working with large datasets and data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
•    Understanding of Responsible AI principles and ethical AI practices is an advantage.
•    Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
