About the role
As an Identity Architect, you will play a key role in shaping and strengthening our organisation’s identity and access management (IAM) landscape. Acting as a design authority for IAM, you will ensure that identity solutions are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with business needs while effectively managing identity-related risks across the enterprise.
In this role, you will work closely with business and technology teams to translate strategic objectives and risk management priorities into practical identity and security solutions. You will help define and evolve our security architecture and identity practices, supporting the organisation in building a modern, resilient identity ecosystem.
Your responsibilities
- Leading the development and evolution of enterprise IAM architecture, standards, and roadmaps across cloud and on‑premise environments.
- Translating business needs, risk, and compliance requirements into secure, scalable identity and access management solutions.
- Designing and improving identity lifecycle (Joiner–Mover–Leaver) and Identity Governance capabilities, including access requests, provisioning, and access reviews.
- Defining and promoting authentication and access standards such as SSO, MFA, federation, and conditional access across applications and platforms.
- Driving the strategy and governance for Privileged Access Management (PAM) for both human and non‑human privileged identities.
- Partnering with security, platform, and delivery teams to embed IAM best practices, support audits and risk assessments, and evaluate IAM technologies and vendors.
The experience we're looking for
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).Strong experience in IAM architecture and governance (typically 7+ years) within large, complex organisations.
- Deep expertise across core IAM domains including Identity Governance (IGA), Access Management (SSO, MFA, federation, conditional access), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and identity lifecycle (JML).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft identity platforms, particularly Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including hybrid identity and privileged access controls.
- Experience designing or governing identity and access controls in cloud environments (Azure plus AWS and/or GCP).
- Understanding of secure architecture practices such as threat modelling, secure design reviews, and identity-related security controls.
- Familiarity with regulated environments and security standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, or GxP/GAMP.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across security, product, and technology teams.
