Your responsibilities
• Support EU IMEX with projects and strategic initiatives where specialist DP expertise is required.
• Support execution of global projects, focusing on those which trigger DPIAs, in order to mitigate DP risks, while supporting innovation.
• Support the DP Privacy Champion network, in collaboration with GPO.
• Support with the enablement programme to upskill and evolve IMEX and wider Legal capability on DP.
• Develop and manage toolkits to allow teams to self-serve on lower BAU activity.
• Build valued relationships with EU Heads of Privacy and the Regional Legal Directors, as well as with leads of key CHQ functions.
• Work in partnership with the wider Ethics and Compliance function to ensure controls are monitored, with gaps remediated.
• Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and legal developments in the field of data protection and privacy, advising senior management on potential risks and opportunities.
The experience we're looking for
• Experience (5+ PQE) in corporate legal roles, with a focus on data protection, privacy law and compliance within multinational corporations, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Demonstrable experience in execution of DP advice, balanced with other legal and business considerations.
• Able to manage risk between compliance and business opportunities in order to leverage opportunities, without materially affecting risk.
• Experience of partnering with IMEX teams to support innovation opportunities to help drive NR, whilst mitigating risk in a proportionate manner.
• Strong project management skills, ideally with demonstrated experience leading complex global data projects from conception to implementation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to promoting a culture of compliance and accountability within the company.
