About the role
As the Analyst – Global Business Services RTR Financial Accounting, you will support accurate, timely, and policy‑compliant execution of core financial accounting within the Record‑to‑Report (RTR) process. You will prepare and post journals, perform accruals and cut‑offs, complete balance sheet reconciliations, and help substantiate general ledger balances with audit‑ready documentation.
Your day‑to‑day includes tracking close calendar tasks, investigating variances and preparing flux support, maintaining standardized workpapers, and ensuring all entries and reconciliations adhere to accounting policies and control requirements. You will use ERP and reconciliation tools to improve data integrity, reduce manual effort, and contribute to standardization and automation initiatives that enhance efficiency and control.
Your responsibilities
- Ensure RTR process integrity and support financial accounting
- Prepare and post journals (recurring/one-time) per policy and approval limits
- Deliver accurate balance sheet reconciliations; resolve open items on time
- Perform variance analyses with audit-ready explanations and evidence
- Coordinate PBCs and provide documentation for audits and reviews
- Improve data quality (e.g. account mappings, coding, master data)
- Standardize and automate journals, templates, and close checklists
- Maintain strong governance and controls to support compliance and audits
The experience we're looking for
- Experience in financial accounting, RTR, or finance operations (preferably in shared services/global processes)
- Solid understanding of period-end close: journals, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Familiarity with accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP) and documentation best practices
- Skilled in ERP and reconciliation tools (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, BlackLine) and advanced Excel (lookups, pivots)
- Knowledge of internal controls, audit readiness, and structured workpaper preparation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; reliable time management across deadlines
- Clear communicator with a continuous improvement mindset
