About the role

We are looking for IT General Controls Excellence Manager who will be a part of a 2LOD IT controls team and will work with our IT and business teams to help Reckitt prepare for UK SOX and raise their awareness regarding IT General Controls importance. Your responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination of remediation activities for IT control deficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain a remediation tracking system to monitor the progress of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with control owners and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective remediation of identified issues.
  • Conduct thorough impact assessments for all non-conformities identified within the IT Controls/ITGC framework.
  • Provide detailed analysis and documentation of the potential impact of control deficiencies on the organization.
  • Work with relevant teams to determine the priority and urgency of remediation efforts based on impact assessments.
  • Manage the risk acceptance process (RAF) for unresolved IT control issues.
  • Facilitate discussions with senior management and risk owners to evaluate and document the acceptance of residual risks.
  • Ensure that risk acceptance decisions are well-documented and aligned with the company’s risk appetite and governance framework.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on the status of remediation efforts, impact assessments, and risk acceptance to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for improving the IT controls environment and remediation processes.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging risks, and regulatory requirements related to IT controls and governance.

The experience we're looking for

  • Relevant degree qualification desired (in a science or IT subject or related discipline).
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT controls, IT audit, IT risk management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT control frameworks such as COBIT/NIST/ISO 27001/SOX.
  • Proven experience in coordinating remediation efforts and managing risk acceptance processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills together with effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience using the AuditBoard platform or other systems for audit, risk management, or compliance processes is considered an advantage.
  • You will have, or be working towards certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, cloud security, or similar.

The skills for success

Proficiency in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating IT risks, along with a strong understanding of IT control frameworks like NIST, COBIT or ISO 27001. Effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Project management experience, technical proficiency in IT systems and security protocols, and meticulous attention to detail. Adaptability to evolving IT environments and a commitment to continuous learning.
