About the role
As the Analyst – GBS RTR Close and Consolidations, you will support accurate, timely, and policy‑compliant execution of period‑end close and consolidation activities within the Record‑to‑Report (RTR) process. You will assist in preparing close schedules, posting journals, validating intercompany eliminations, and compiling consolidation packs for group reporting.
Your day‑to‑day includes monitoring close calendar tasks, reconciling key accounts, investigating variances, and maintaining audit‑ready documentation. You will leverage ERP and consolidation tools to ensure data integrity, reduce manual interventions, and contribute to standardization and automation initiatives that improve efficiency and compliance.
Your responsibilities
- Support periodend close and consolidation activities across the RTR process
- Prepare and post journals, validate intercompany eliminations, and ensure compliance with close timelines
- Compile consolidation packs and assist with group reporting submissions
- Reconcile key accounts and investigate variances, providing clear documentation and explanations
- Maintain auditready workpapers and evidence for close and consolidation activities
- Track close calendar tasks, escalate risks, and propose corrective actions
- Contribute to process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and global reporting standards
The experience we're looking for
- Experience in financial accounting, RTR close, or consolidation activities (shared services/global process exposure preferred)
- Working knowledge of periodend close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidation basics
- Familiarity with intercompany eliminations and group reporting requirements
- Proficiency with ERP and consolidation tools (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, BPC, HFM, or similar) and strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots)
- Understanding of internal controls, audit readiness, and documentation standards
- Analytical problemsolving with high attention to detail and dependable time management across recurring deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication for workpaper narratives and reporting support
