About the role
Reports to Head of Process Engineering.
Your responsibilities
- Lead, manage and oversee all activities at the Singapore Pilot Plant while adhering to Company regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, quality, EHS, regulatory requirements, budget and project timetables.
- Plan, organize, schedule and execute pilot plant trials requested by the different users of the Singapore Pilot Plant (e.g. Product Development, Process Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Packaging, etc.).
- Lead, manage and oversee all maintenance activities at the Singapore Pilot Plant and Tuas R&D Centre facilities.
- Manage and establish work priorities for the Singapore Pilot Plant team.
- Responsible for performance and development of all associates in the Singapore Pilot Plant team.
- Ensure compliance and adherence of the Singapore Pilot Plant to all required Company rules, policies and procedures.
- Lead and manage the Singapore Pilot Plant safety, sanitation and hygiene programs.
- Plan and execute the Singapore Pilot Plant operating budgets to meet current and future needs in collaboration with the different pilot plant users.
- Support Asia R&D Process Engineering on capital projects for the Singapore Pilot Plant.
- Support Asia R&D Process Engineering in the identification and testing of new process and technologies and development of strategies and business plans for implementation at Company or third party plants.
- Lead commissioning and qualification of new equipment and technologies for the Singapore Pilot Plant.
- Identify opportunities and recommend equipment, facilities or operation changes to overcome issues, improve productivity and better adherence to Company programs and requirements.
The experience we're looking for
- Master degree or B.S. in Engineering, such as and not limited to Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other Engineering related course.
- 6 years of combined experience in infant formula, beverage, food or pharmaceutical industry in R&D, technical services or manufacturing functions, with at least 3 years of those spent working in manufacturing lines or pilot plants.
- Preferably with at least 3-5 years of experience as Process Engineer operating key process technologies related to spray drying, dry powder blending, powder conveying and liquid processing.
- Experience in repair and maintenance of food processing equipment.
- Experience in qualifying and commissioning of food processing equipment.
