About the role
The R&D Raw Materials Specialist is responsible for the creation, revision and approval of raw material specifications used in Mead Johnson Nutrition (MJN) sites. You will ensure application of internal and external requirements in our Raw Material Specifications and will work in close collaboration with key functional content contributors.
You will work as part of a cross-functional team with vast experience in R&D, Quality & Food Safety, Procurement, Regulatory, Supply Chain management and Manufacturing in the Nutrition business and be exposed to an environment that is high-paced, dynamic and complex with various functional disciplines located at different sites.
Your responsibilities
- Create Raw Material Specifications in OPTIVA system for new and existing Raw Materials.
- Assure OPTIVA users deliver upon task based on defined processes. Strive for right first-time data quality.
- Provide draft specification for cross-functional Internal Review and coordinate alignment.
- Facilitate alignment on specification parameters with suppliers.
- Coordinate specification external report approval and obtain report signed by supplier(s).
- Verify signed specification reports and Vendor documentation are uploaded in OPTIVA.
- Build and maintain effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support delivering on the team’s KPIs, preparing progress reports to key stakeholders.
The experience we're looking for
- Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree (Food Science preferable)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Optiva is highly preferred
- Experience in Project management
