About the role

The Process Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation in a GMP-regulated facility. Independently executes maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and supports spare parts management.

Your responsibilities

Maintenance & Equipment Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and process equipment independently.
  • Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance; document all work in the CMMS (e.g., SAP PM).
  • Support contractors and ensure timely execution of assigned maintenance tasks.
  • Contribute to meeting maintenance KPIs.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, GMP, LOTO, confined space, and company safety standards.
  • Participate in risk assessments and maintain accurate documentation to support audits and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Projects

  • Identify opportunities to reduce delays and improve maintenance efficiency.
  • Support OEE improvements, proactive maintenance programs, capital projects, and equipment upgrades that enhance reliability.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders or platforms for extended periods in manufacturing areas.
  • Frequent use of hands to operate tools, diagnostic equipment, and computers; ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Adequate visual and hearing acuity to read technical documents and work in noisy environments.
  • Able to wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, fall protection).
  • Capable of safely operating forklifts and material‑handling equipment.

The experience we're looking for

  • Associate’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of equipment maintenance experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, chemical, food, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems; proficient with CMMS platforms and diagnostic tools.
  • Achievement‑focused with strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and the ability to independently manage multiple work orders.
  • Analytical, improvement‑driven mindset with strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams.
  • Team‑oriented, adaptable, and capable of working in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
