About the role

The Procurement Manager – Capex will play a pivotal role on the Global Capex Procurement team, leading sourcing and supplier selection for a recently acquired manufacturing site in Wilson, NC. This highly visible, strategic project supports Reckitt’s ambition to build robust U.S.-based OTC manufacturing capabilities, producing liquids and tablets that power key brands and future growth.

In this role, you’ll be at the center of major capital investment decisions—leveraging deep market insight, spend analytics, and best‑in‑class sourcing tools to shape the supplier landscape from the ground up. You will own supplier relationships end‑to‑end: driving competitive tenders, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms, and ensuring long‑term business continuity and performance.

As the procurement lead for capital equipment purchases, you’ll partner closely with cross‑functional teams to influence technical and commercial outcomes, ensuring smart, compliant, and value‑driven decisions. Your work will have a direct and measurable impact on enterprise results, including CAPEX and MRO budgets, making this role a true blend of strategic leadership and hands‑on execution.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead supplier selection and relationship management to deliver high‑quality, reliable, and cost‑effective solutions, with a strong focus on total cost of ownership.
  • Build, strengthen, and sustain partnerships with strategic suppliers to support long‑term project and business success.
  • Own supplier negotiations, including contracts, framework agreements, pricing models, and commercial terms, to secure optimal outcomes.
  • Continuously benchmark and evaluate supplier performance to ensure competitiveness, compliance, and alignment with global standards.
  • Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, finance, legal, and project teams to align CAPEX requirements, timelines, and procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Global Capex Procurement team, including European peers, to leverage existing supplier relationships and shared expertise across parallel initiatives.

This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of progressive procurement experience, with direct involvement in CAPEX procurement and regular interaction with senior stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, finance, and legal functions.
  • Hands‑on experience sourcing and procuring standard industrial and process equipment for manufacturing environments.
  • Proven exposure to CAPEX projects involving Pharma, OTC, or FMCG equipment, including regulated manufacturing settings.
  • Practical experience procuring factory‑based services (e.g., installation, commissioning, maintenance, and MRO‑related services).
  • Demonstrated track record negotiating commercial and contractual terms with suppliers, including pricing models and legal conditions.
