About the role
Step into a career‑defining role where you’ll shape the future of a rapidly growing manufacturing site. As a Project Engineer, you’ll lead the delivery of critical facility projects—bringing new spaces, systems, and equipment from concept and design all the way to safe, reliable, and fully operational readiness. You’ll be at the center of engineering, construction, and operations, ensuring every upgrade, expansion, and new build runs smoothly, meets compliance standards, and supports long‑term facility performance.
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact position for someone who thrives on technical problem‑solving, cross‑functional coordination, and turning complex designs into real‑world results. From asset reliability and commissioning to turnover, shutdown planning, and operational startup, you’ll play a key role in enabling the success of the Wilson site.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk plans for facility upgrades, expansions, and new builds, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and aligned with operational needs.
- Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs meet all operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead operational readiness efforts, including commissioning, integration into SOP/PM/QMS frameworks, facility turnover planning, CQ closeout, and procurement of auxiliary equipment needed for startup.
- Create and implement asset reliability plans covering maintenance strategies, spare parts philosophy, calibration requirements, asset registry development, and CMMS data entry.
- Serve as the primary liaison among engineering, operations, maintenance, and VSU teams to manage shutdowns, system turnover, compliance with codes and regulations, and drive ongoing improvements in facility performance and efficiency.
This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or related field, with 3–7 years of experience in project engineering, facilities management, or industrial operations.
- Demonstrated experience delivering capital projects from concept through commissioning and operational handover, including work in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other mission‑critical facilities.
- Hands‑on experience with building systems, utilities, and commissioning processes, including practical use of project management and design tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, CAD).
- Experience applying process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and working through the full project execution lifecycle to drive results across cross‑functional teams.
- Proven ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders, supported by strong communication and organizational experience; PE license or PMP certification is a plus.
