Your responsibilities
- Primary automation point-of-contact for Operations of urgent and non-urgent issues and requests
- Escalate complex and/or reoccurring issues to system responsible role
- Execute software change requests delegated by system responsible role
- Partner with system responsible role for startup support and/or testing of complex automation changes
- Collaborate with Operations to address control system training gaps
- Modify user-configurable parameters to resolve equipment problems, improve performance, or decrease faults/alarms
- Perform routine control system administrative tasks under direction of automation system responsible
- Repair and replace control system hardware including controllers, IO modules, carriers, network switches, thin clients, KVM extenders, and operator displays
- Utilize basic automation knowledge to troubleshoot and configure non-standard and/or more complex control system hardware
- Network set up and troubleshooting
- Take part in the Automation On-Call rotation
The experience we're looking for
- Licensed Electrician with 5+ years’ experience in the automation field or one of the following Associates degrees; Electrical, Automation, Process or Chemical Engineering preferred with 2+ years’ experience within an
- Infant Formula, Food, Nutrition, or Pharmaceutical company
- Deep experience working with Allen Bradley PLCs programming are required. Knowledge of building automation system (including Metasys) or Distributed Control Systems and batch Delta V will be a big plus
- PLC’s – PLC-5, SLC-500, and ControlLogix / CompactLogix
- Factory Talk View Studio ME, SE and PanelView Plus
- PlantPAx
- Basic Knowledge of CAD software
- Experienced in controls and industrial wiring
- Knowledge of industrial computer and automation network/communication protocols including Ethernet TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, PROFIBUS and/or BACnet and etc. to support project development, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of database historian systems such as OSI PI, VM, Microsoft SQL, Production reports data collection and etc will be a big plus.
- Understanding of maintenance best practices, safety, quality, cost, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet or exceed expected goals and work in a fast paced and changing environment
