About the role

The Sr. Planning Manager is responsible for the leadership of the ZSC and WSC material planning, site scheduling, internal logistics, key vendor relationships and warehousing processes. The role must ensure that these processes, which include manufacturing capacity, schedule optimization, raw and packaging material management, warehouse operations and supply chain configuration, proactively align with Nutrition network business needs and strategies.

 

The Sr. Planning Manager partners with North America business owners to execute Sales and Operations Planning processes that support customer requirements, business plans, and agreed service and inventory metrics at the best conversion cost possible, fostering a continuous improvement mindset in a safe and quality driven environment. 

 

This role plays a key role by coordinating readiness plans to support new product launches in North America and in international markets, as well as partnering with procurement on the pursue of strong business continuity initiatives and strong vendor relationships.

Your responsibilities

  • Creates a compelling vision for the ZSC & WSC supply organization and communicates supporting strategy to align people and resources to achieve business goals.
  • Understands strategic plans of North America powder & PMX businesses and assures that ZSC & WSC supply processes and manufacturing capacity align with the business needs.
  • Owns the inventory business cycle for ZSC & WSC processing, blending and packaging products and ensures compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Proactively identifies changes in the business and accounts for them by redefining processes and tools, determining roles and responsibilities, providing direction, and setting priorities, identifying learning opportunities, and reinforcing with coaching and feedback.
  • Establishes good supply practices for ZSC & WSC products that align with corporate governance.
  • Communicates effectively with key stakeholders of the business.
  • Establishes and implements strategic continuous improvement plans for the ZSC & WSC supply organization and processes.
  • Continuously communicates and reviews the functional and financial performance of the ZSC & WSC supply department and programs, manages the tools and processes to monitor key performance metrics.
  • Creates and develops a high performing team which is committed to the mission of the supply organization, the Zeeland and Wanamingo Supply Centers and Reckitt overall.  Builds a team culture committed to high performance and holds others accountable for the results expected.
  • Serves as a member of the Zeeland and Wanamingo Supply Center Leadership Teams and contributes to development of strategies, projects, and business planning.
  • Partners effectively with line management to promote an organizational culture that supports the achievement of business objectives.
  • Sustains the flexibility and responsiveness of a non-union workforce through effective leadership, teamwork, and communications.

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business management discipline is required. 
  • Master’s degree and APICS CPIM (Certified in Inventory and Production Management) is strongly preferred. 
  • Minimum of five years of experience in supply chain disciplines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of materials management, production capacity planning, and/or manufacturing.  Experience in a broad range of supply chain functions.
  • Experience leading a cross functional team and managing people and teams in a complex changing environment and proven track record of developing people and organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and resources to consistently deliver on-time results.
  • Thorough knowledge of the planning discipline and related software applications.  SAP APO experience is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of demand creation and demand planning processes, as well as key internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of financial and operational measures such as customer service measures, inventory days on hand, cash flow measurement, cost of goods and gross margin.
  • Knowledge of cross functional project management and new product development processes.
  • Understanding of SOX, FDA and GMP regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to and influence a diverse audience, at multiple levels within the company and to obtain results through influence across the supply chain organization.
  • Experience participating in problem solving activities utilizing continuous improvement metrics, tools, and methodologies; conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Salary Range

USD $141,000.00 -  $211,000.00

Pay Transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
