About the role

The Manufacturing Training Specialist is a key driver of operational excellence, responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations while contributing to long-term strategic initiatives. This role focuses on developing clear, effective job instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, compliance, and top-tier performance. Through structured training programs and targeted process improvements, you’ll help boost efficiency and align operations with organizational goals.  

 

Highly collaborative, you’ll work closely with the Area Production Manager to meet scheduled demand while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Additional responsibilities include training and mentoring manufacturing personnel to elevate performance, enhance efficiency, and maintain the highest standards of safety and quality, leveraging strong communication and leadership skills to deliver impactful training solutions that optimize workforce capability. 

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all HSE, Quality, and GMP standards by leading incident/deviation investigations, root-cause analysis, CAPA execution, and timely documentation in applicable systems (SPIN, Trackwise).
  • Support internal and external audits, maintain SOPs and training records, ensure training compliance, and drive timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote operational excellence through Right-First-Time documentation, approved change control practices, monthly safety observations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate validation and startup activities for new equipment and processes, including commissioning, qualification, trials, commercial readiness, SOP development, and operator training.
  • Serve as the operations representative on cross-functional projects, partnering with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Development teams to assess impacts, implement changes, and deliver business objectives.
  • Balance safety, quality, and productivity while managing multiple stakeholders, recognizing and developing employees, identifying process improvements, and safely performing physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in areas with shellfish-derived allergens.

The experience we're looking for

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with 7+ years of pharmaceutical experience required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP and Quality Systems experience preferred, with a solid understanding of manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of innovation, resilience, influence, and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels while effectively planning, prioritizing, and managing work.

US salary ranges

Hiring range up to $40 per hour depending on experience

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
