Mastering your CV for success

We believe a CV's primary role is to help you secure an interview, and a great CV will showcase the skills, knowledge and experiences you can bring to the role.

Think of the hiring process as a two-way decision-making journey; you're looking for the right role and the hiring manager is looking for the right fit. So, your CV should quickly convey that you're the right candidate.

    1. Keep it relevant - focus on skills, experience and metrics that best match the role.

    2. Use purposeful language - be specific and use action words and job-related keywords.

    3. Structure your CV: Make it easy to read, utilising sections such as professional summary, key skills, work experience, education, and achievements.

Recruiter Interview

The recruiter will first review your CV, and if they feel it is right for the role, they will contact you to arrange an initial interview. The goal is to help both sides determine if there’s the right fit and set the stage for a great application process.

What does a recruiter interview entail?

Typically, it’s an informal 30 minute telephone conversation to explore your skills, achievements, career background, and what motivates you. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions about the team, the role, or life at Reckitt.

We’ll also cover salary expectations, notice period, and availability to start.

After the call, if the recruiter feels you have the right skills and experiences, they will share your profile with the hiring manager. If successful, you’ll be invited for an interview with the hiring team.

How to navigate the interview process

Ask Questions

And don’t forget, the interview is a two-way conversation; it’s about you getting to know us as much as us learning about you. Asking questions – about things like projects, our culture, team-dynamics, work-life, etc. - shows your interest and helps you decide if we’re right for you.
